What you’ll do
Army Cadets is about challenge and development: confidence, teamwork, leadership, and learning skills you can actually use. Cadets typically take part in a mix of:
- Fieldcraft, navigation and outdoor training
- First aid and practical skills
- Community and charity events
- Sport, fitness and adventurous training opportunities
- Progression through star levels, camps and competitions

Joining basics
Cadets: Typically age 12–18. You’ll parade weekly (Campbeltown is Wednesdays 19:00–21:00).
Volunteers: Adult volunteers (18+) help deliver training, support activities, and keep things safe and organised. You don’t need to be ex-military. You do need patience and a willingness to learn.
